Now that we are getting back to some normality, certain patterns are emerging. Demand from tenants and buyers for new homes remain very strong. Demand for residential property is also good but key fundamentals of correct, accurate pricing as existed before the lockdown are still important. We are seeing values holding up and in some cases we have achieved higher offers than those received before the lockdown. This is down to the basic economics of supply and demand, but it does confirm that the demand is there. Housing market statistics - post lockdown
Analysis reports by Zoopla and Rightmove have revealed a substantial rise in the demand for property searches, which jumped a massive 88% on a weekly basis since the lifting of the lockdown restrictions on the 13th May.
Rightmove has even experienced it's busiest day ever, with last Wednesday witnessing record enquiry levels.
