Happy New Year to everyone and whether you are buying, renting, selling or letting property the very best for 2014!

This is the first time in many years where the entire industry has entered the New Year with so much confidence. December was a busy month for us in that although the overall level of enquiries was down, the people we dealt with made decisions and we sold property right up to Christmas Eve. Historically if December is a busy month January onwards follows suit.

The key requirement for the market is supply as we are confident we can sell or let any property given the instructions to do so. I hope that with greater confidence and stability Vendors who have held off now make that move. More property will unlock the huge reserve of buyers either buying for the first time or those that are stuck in their current home due to lack of choice.

We also have a number of exciting new developments coming on stream this year – this is great as developers plan these schemes years ahead and it’s another vote of real confidence in the UK housing market.
