The Thistleblower

Welcome to this week's edition of The Thistleblower.

I thought given we're clearly entering a new season, it might be worthwhile to share my thoughts on the current local market conditions. Buyer activity remains really robust despite the stamp duty holiday coming to an end, in our experience purchasers just aren’t willing to risk waiting for the opportunity to choose from a wider selection of homes.

Given the that average length of a transaction has increased this year, for anyone looking to move into their new home by Christmas, the decision to buy really needs to be taken in the next few weeks.

I would advise anyone considering a move in the next 6 months to give some serious thought to marketing their property as soon as possible, benefitting from the current buyer demand. Do reach out to your local branch who will be happy to provide an up-to-date valuation based on today's values.
