I think it's fair to say that there's a certain amount of crystal ball reading going on right now (where's Mystic Meg when you need her...?). Whilst we're certainly not placed to provide political insight, we can comment on the housing market updates.

Last week, HMRC reported that property transactions are down 12%. This, of course, was fairly alarming and entirely surprising, given that as a company we're 26% up on sales at the half year point.

It is therefore crucial not to take statements, regardless of the source, at face value. I would strongly recommend speaking to an experienced individual to get the real facts and the local market situation, as it will absolutely differ depending on where in the country you are. We are still selling (more so than last year), people are still moving and there are some fantastic opportunities on the market.
