The Thistleblower

Welcome to this week's edition of The Thistleblower.

Reports on the housing market are starting to emerge to the effect that whilst still challenging, sales transactions remain robust and values are levelling out.

Certainly, from our point of view, as we have seen a reduction in the overall choice of properties available in market generally, the combination of this and more realistic pricing has led to an increase in buyer demand and, most importantly, a narrowing of the gap between asking prices and subsequent sale price.

In my opinion, if this trend continues, whilst I would not be advocating an increase in asking prices,
I would expect to see the time it takes to find a buyer reducing dramatically.
